Beginning this fall, Life Community Church will begin producing podcasts of its worship services in Mandarin and Cantonese.Check back soon for more information and details on how to listen and download the podcasts.

100% of the money given to the Advent Offering will be used by Life Community to help meet the needs of the poor, hungry, and displaced. 25% will be given to global need, 25% will be given to regional need, and 50% will be given to local need. The global portion will be given to an organization that we will partner with through out the rest of the year. (click HERE to suggest an organization) The regional and local needs will be assessed through out the year and will act as a "surplus of generosity" to meet the most immediate needs at the time (ie. disaster relief, heat bills, food, clothing). If you would like to give to the Advent Offering you can do so at the Christmas Eve service, or by clicking HERE. Be sure to select "Advent Offering" when giving online.Watch the Advent Offering Video: HERE.

"The Gospel and Life" is an 18 week series on what it looks like when the gospel is lived out in every area of our lives.

The first two chapters of the Bible (Genesis 1,2) show us what life was supposed to be. The last two chapters in the Bible (Revelation 21,22) show us what life will be again. Everything in between is the story of God sending His son Jesus to come and restore us back to the life He created us for. This story of restoration is about the living God. For His glory, God created this world good and peaceful and offered us the opportunity of unbroken fellowship with Himself. However, as Genesis 3 tells us, things went wrong. Through one man"s disobedience, we fell from this incredible state of fellowship. Sin entered our hearts, and with that sin, the world became twisted and fractured. The harmony and peace that creation once enjoyed was now damaged and broken by sin. Since that time, God has patiently and purposefully continued the story of redemption. God sent His only Son, Jesus, who came and lived a perfect, sinless life and offered Himself as a sacrifice for our sin on the cross. Jesus endured God"s wrath on behalf of sin. In a dark and horrendous moment of suffering and death, peace and beauty and hope burst forth as Christ rose three days later from the grave. What was once broken God restored through His Son. Through Christ we have been offered restoration and reconciliation. God takes that which is broken and makes it new. God’s offer to us is a new life, the life we were created for. We urge you to explore this story further, and we pray that you to might be woven into this incredible narrative of restoration. If you feel Christ inviting you into this story — inviting you into a restored relationship with the living God — turn to Him in repentance and put your faith and trust in Him and the work He accomplished on the cross to redeem you and save you. If you would like to talk more about the Gospel, please email pastor Aaron. aaroncavin@lifecommunitynow.org

Giving generously of our finances is also part of our worship. As followers of Jesus we do not labor to accumulate personal wealth or earthly possessions, but to steward God"s resources well in order that we might advance His kingdom here on earth. Because of this, we ask everyone who calls Life Commuity their church to give, gladly sacrificing for the sake of the gospel because He gladly sacrificed for us, and everything we have is His. At Life Community there are a variety of different ways that a person can give. None is better than the others it is simply a matter of individual conscience or preference. Those methods are: Generosity Box: Every Sunday morning you can place your offering in one of our “generosity boxes” in the back of our meeting area.US Mail: Please mail all checks to the office located at 67 Federal Ave Quincy, MA 02169Online Account: Creating an online account enables you to give online via bank/debit card or through an ACH transaction. The benefits to creating an account is that you will be able to set up scheduled giving, as well as easily track and adjust your giving. Click HERE to sign in to eLife and manage your online account. Being generous with our time and talents is part of our worship. Whether you're into music, art, technology, or people, God can use your gifts and talents to make a difference. First impressions are important. That’s why The Nursery is designed to give preschool children a first impression of their loving Heavenly Father. Crazy fun activities, crafts, large group Bible story and worship time are all a part of the plan to help these children to believe three key things by the time their four years old:God made meGod loves meJesus wants to be my friend forever

At Life Community we desire to be a church that lives generously with every aspect of our lives. We desire this for one reason, because Jesus Christ has been most generous to us. When we truly understand that our salvation is not tied to how good we are, but rather how generous God is; then we are compelled to live a life of generosity for God’s glory and others good. In doing this, we find great purpose in our existence here, as we seek to use our time, talents, and money to participate in God’s mission to redeem mankind. For more information about generosity at Life Community Church, please click on Serve at Life or Giving.

By the time a child reaches 5th grade we want them to understand and own three basic truths:I need to make the wise choice.I can trust God no matter what.I should treat others the way I want to be treated.Because of this, every week at The Greenhouse we reinforce these truths through Bible stories, crafts, activities and worship. We also highlight a monthly core virtue and memory verse. We want every student that grows up in The Greenhouse to enter middle school with a desire to learn more about God and the Life they were created for.

“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” -Luke 18:16Most Kids form their entire idea of who God is and choose whether or not they"ll have a relationship with Him before leaving the 5th grade. That"s why Life Community is devoted to having an exciting and relevant children"s ministry. Life Kids is a ministry on Sunday mornings for kids ages 0-10, and can be broken down into two environments: The Nursery (0-3) and The Green House (4-10). Both of these environments are kid friendly and safe*. So; whether in The Nursery or in The Green House, we want you to know that we are committed to partnering with you to help your child discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. What to ExpectWhen you arrive on a Sunday morning, you can check your kids in at our Life Kids registration table where they will be given a name tag with an id number that matches the name tag that you are given. This ensures that each child leaves with the same parent/guardian that they arrived with. You will then be directed to your child’s age specific environment (ie. The Nursery or The Green House) where you can drop them off. This is also where you will pick them up. *All Life Kids volunteers are required to have a background check. If you have any other questions, please email Kortney, our Director of Life Kids. kortneycavin@lifecommunitynow.org

Life Courses are electives that we offer at Life Community for anyone that would like to learn more about God and the life they were created for. It has been said, “That in order to live for God, you must first love God, and in order to love God you must first learn about Him.” That"s what Life Courses are all about; helping people learn about God, so that they will love God, and ultimately live for Him.

We were created to live and share life in relational environments. It’s how we learn and grow. This natural desire for community and belonging is what has motivated us to create environments for people to share life together, for the purpose of growing spiritually. We call these environments Life Groups. Life Groups are a small group of people, usually 8 to 12 that meet once a week in someone’s home to eat food, discuss the Bible, and share life. So whether you are new to Life Community or just haven’t gotten plugged in yet, we encourage everyone to join a Life Group.

We are very excited to offer a new/additional opportunity for connection, called Realife. Realife events are put on by the people for the people. In other words if you have an idea for an event that you would like to host or oversee such as a dinner party, concert, movie night, a community service project, or anything pertaining to real life, we want to help you promote and facilitate your idea. We will promote it by creating an event for it on our FB page so that you can get the word out to the people of Life Community. We will help you facilitate it by providing resources for your event, such as tents or tables, etc.

COMMUNITY LIFEThe best way for anyone attending Life Community to get connected is by getting involved in the “Community Life” of our church. There are three easy ways to do this. One, get to know some new people at one of our Realife events; two, connect with a Life Group during the week, or three, attend a Life Course. Either way, we really encourage you to get connected however it’s most comfortable for you. For more information on these community life opportunities choose Realife, Life Groups or Life Courses from the menu.

When it comes to doctrine, culture, preferences, traditions, lifestyles, politics, behavior, etc., Life Community takes a “closed-hand/open-hand” approach. The closed hand hangs onto the non-negotiable tenets of Christian orthodoxy (click here for our Doctrinal Statement). The open hand, however, allows room for differences when it comes to secondary matters; we liberally allow freedom for conscience and wisdom to guide where the Bible is silent. This allows us to celebrate the diversity expressed in our city, so that we can be a congregation of Democrats and Republicans, soccer moms and business professionals, carnivores and vegans, urban artists and Mac nerds. For questions concerning what we believe email us at info@lifecommunitynow.org

Since the beginning of Life Community Avery has been in charge of all systems development. He also manages the week to week responsibilities that come with being aportable church, such as set up and tear down, volunteer recruitment, and technical difficulties. He is a graduate of Hocking College and he and his wife Jessica have been married since November of 2010.

Matt and his wife, Chari, have two children. Matt has lead worship all over the country for the last nine years as part of the worship band, Ornan’s Floor. His desire is that as a community we would learn the how and why of worship, and sing songs that strike a chord within that community to connect us to the heart of God.

Aaron and his wife, Kortney, have four boys and are residents of Houghs Neck. Aaron has been in pastoral ministry for the last 11 years and was ordained in 2007. He is a gifted communicator and a passionate leader who has preached at camps and churches across the country.

Here are the essentials of what we are about:Jesus: He is our God, and we live for Him.Bible: We submit to Scripture as our highest authority.Worship: We strive to honor God at all times, in all things.Disciples: We desire to be fruitful members of the family of God.Missions: We bring the gospel to our neighbors-across the street and around the globe. When it comes to doctrine, culture, preferences, traditions, lifestyles, politics, behavior, etc, Life Community takes a “closed-hand/open-hand” approach. Life Community Church Doctrinal StatementThe ScripturesWe believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and God–breathed (2 Tim. 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; Matt. 5:18; John 16:12,13).The GodheadWe believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons––Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; co–eternal in being, co–eternal in nature, co–equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections (Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14).The Person and Work of ChristWe believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (John 1:1, 2, 14; Luke 1:35). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Rom. 3:24; 1 Peter 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3–5). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, he fulfills the ministry as Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate (Acts 1:9, 10; Heb. 7:25, 9:24; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1–2). The Person & Work of The Holy SpiritWe believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them until the day of redemption. (John 16:8–11; 2 Cor. 3:6; 1 Cor.12:12–14; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 5:18)Total DepravityWe believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that through Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; man is totally depraved, and of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Gen. 1:26, 27; Rom. 3:22, 23, 5:12; Eph. 2:1–3, 12).SalvationWe believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (Eph. 1:7, 2:8–10; John 1:12; 1 Peter 1:18–19).Eternal Security and Assurance of BelieversWe believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:37–40, 10:27–30; Rom. 8:1, 38, 39; 1 Cor. 1:4–8; 1 Peter 1:5). We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God’s Word which clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh (Rom. 13:13, 14; Gal. 5:13; Titus 2:11–15).The Ministry and Spiritual GiftsWe believe that God is sovereign in the bestowing of spiritual gifts. It is, however, the believer’s responsibility to attempt to develop their sovereignly given spiritual gift(s). The baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs at conversion and is the placing of the believer into the Body of Christ. We also believe that particular spiritual gift(s) are neither essential, nor do they prove the presence of the Holy Spirit, nor are an indication of deep spiritual experience (1 Cor. 12:7, 11, 13; Eph. 4:7–8). We believe that God does hear and answer the prayer of faith, in accordance with His own will, for the sick and afflicted (John 15:7; 1 John 5:14, 15). We believe that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to minister according to the gift(s) and grace of God that is given to him (Rom 12:1–8; 1 Cor. 13; 1 Peter 4:10–11).The ChurchWe believe that the church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born–again persons (Eph. 1:22, 23; 5:25–27; 1 Cor. 12:12–14; 2 Cor. 11:2). We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts 14:27, 18:22, 20:17; 1 Tim. 3:1–3; Titus 1:5–11). We believe in the autonomy of the local churches, free of any external authority and control (Acts 13:1–4, 15:19–31, 20:28; Rom. 16:1, 4; 1 Cor. 3:9, 16; 5: 4–7, 13; 1 Peter 5:1–4). We recognize believer’s baptism and the Lord’s supper as the scriptural sacraments of the church (Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 2:41, 42; 18:8; 1 Cor. 11:23–26).

Life Community Church is more than a building, an organization, a man, or a Sunday. We are a group of missionaries, a family of believers, a population of diverse individuals united by a common relationship with Jesus Christ. We strive to worship Him with every aspect of our lives, as we enjoy our city and its culture, as we laugh and eat good food with friends, and as we share our lives with each other, our neighbors, and our Lord Jesus. For questions concerning who we are email us at info@lifecommunitynow.org

Since Life Community Church started in September of 2008 we have been asked numerous questions about who we are. Questions like what kind of church are you, who is this church for, and why do you meet in a school? Simply, we are a Christian church, for everybody, that will have it’s own building some day! But what you really need to know about us, is that we are group of people whom Jesus has saved and are committed to following His way of life. We come together as a big family to worship Him every Sunday at the
Lincoln-Hancock Community School. You can expect a time of prayer and singing to God as well as biblical preaching every Sunday. For children under 11, we have activities in The Greenhouse and The Nursery. Our Mission:The Mission of Life Community Church is to lead people to become life long followers of Jesus. Our Vision:The vision of Life Community Church is to LIVE the life Jesus created us for and SHARE that life with others, so that we might become agents of CHANGE in our world. Our Core Values:Scripture: We value the Bible as God’s inspired word (2 Tim 3:16)Fellowship: We value biblical community where people have the opportunity to share life together (1 Thess 2:8)Communion: We value unity with in the body of Christ (Acts 4:32)Prayer: We value intimate conversation with God both individually and corporately (1 Thess 5:17)All of our values are taken directly from the Acts 2:42. We believe that while worship, evangelism, serving, and giving were core practices of the New Testament church, they were the result of their core values (scripture, fellowship, communion, and prayer). The difference is that while core values require discipline, core practices happen naturally. We believe the most effective way to accomplish our mission is to devote ourselves fully to scripture, fellowship, communion, and prayer so that we might shape the way we worship, evangelize, serve, and give.

Welcome to Life Commuity Church online. The mission of Life Community Church is to lead people to become life long followers of Jesus. I hope you are able to join us at the Lincoln-Hancock Community School on a Sunday morning very soon. For more information about Life Community Church, email us at info@lifecommunitynow.org
