This Week’s Message

This week, we’ll be taking a quick break from “Core.” We have a guest speaker in for the Married Couples retreat, who will be joining us for Sunday morning as well.

Listen to previous messages, here, or download the LCC mobile app and listen there.

1 Timothy 1:14-17

But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

“Grace is all the more beautiful when we face the ugliness of our sin. But we do not confess our wretchedness to wallow in self-pity or merit divine mercy; we confess our destitution so that our hearts will be enraptured anew and motivated afresh by the riches or our Savior’s love.” Bryan Chapell, Christ-Centered Worship
