This Week’s Message

After being snowed out a couple of weeks in a row, it will be great to worship together! We’re encouraging kids, 3yrs and up, to worship with their families in the auditorium this week. There will be childcare for children under 3 in the nursery. We’ll also have hot cocoa (with marshmallows…what’s hot cocoa without marshmallows, right?!?!) out in the lobby.

We’ll be back in the Gospel of John, with chapter 16, verses 4-15. You can read the whole passage, here.

Listen to previous messages from the Gospel of John series, here, or download the LCC mobile app and listen there.

Joel 2:12-14

“Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
    “return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
    and rend your hearts and not your garments.”
Return to the Lord your God,
    for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
    and he relents over disaster.
Who knows whether he will not turn and relent,
    and leave a blessing behind him,
a grain offering and a drink offering
    for the Lord your God?

“Just as we carefully prepare for big events in our personal lives, such as a wedding or commencement, Lent invites us to make our hearts ready for remembering Jesus’ passion and celebrating Jesus’ resurrection.” The Worship Sourcebook
